Zoning Permit

A zoning permit is required for a residential accessory building or shed under 200 square feet.  Please allow a day or two for approval. Home owners can do their own work.  Contractor's performing the work must be either State or City licensed.

Here's what you will need:

  • Complete the zoning permit application.  Zoning Permit (PDF)
  • Permit Fee:  $50.00
  • A site plan or certificate of survey showing the location of your proposed accessory building or shed.  This can be drawn in the space provided on the permit form or submitted as a separate sheet.
  • Setbacks:
    Front: no closer than principal structureSide: 5 feet from property lineRear: 5 feet from property line
    Side (corner lot): no closer than principal structureFrom Principal Structure: 10 feet

Once approved, you will be emailed a link to pay online.  Your approved/paid permit will be emailed to you.
