Setup Setup begins at Spooner Park at 9:00 am on Wednesday and continues until the festival opens at 5:00 pm on Friday. Duties include arranging tables and chairs, putting up lighting, organizing supplies in the pavilion kitchen, hanging signs, striping car show parking, decorating float, distributing flyers, and other miscellaneous duties. There is a lot to do, but many hands make light work!
We need parade marshals (16 years and older) for our parade on Sunday. Parade marshals wear reflector vests and are placed along the parade route to keep units in the parade moving and together. Not only is it a relatively short time commitment (11:30 am - 2:00 pm), but you get a front row seat to watch the parade!
We have need for several convertible owners to drive in the parade with dignitaries, grand marshal, royalty, etc.
Cleanup begins on Sunday at 4:00 pm after Playland closes by dismantling the booths and taking down the tent. When the rest of Canadian Days closes at 5:00 pm, it's all hands on deck! We need help stacking tables and chairs, taking down decorations, retrieving shuttle signs, putting equipment and supplies away, and cleaning up the park.
Let us know if you are interested in volunteering at other events and we will contact you if help is needed. (Note: If you are interested in volunteering with LCRA tournaments/events, you must contact them.)
