The City has received a Zoning Map Amendment application to request rezoning of two parcels of land that are currently owned by the City from R-1, Low Density Residential to R-3, High Density Residential in order to facilitate a multi-family housing development. A twin cities developer is proposing to build two 60-unit multi-family apartment buildings on land north of Twin Lakes Boulevard. The project will feature a 3-story wood framed structure over one level of underground parking. This is the first step in project approval. After the rezoning process, the proposal will need approval for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment. If approved, the builder can submit for a building permit.
